Dear Keshet Families, Friends & Staff,
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce the selection of Jennifer Phillips as Chief Executive Officer of Keshet effective immediately. Jennifer has been Acting CEO since April 2020, and has worked at Keshet in many capacities since 1994.
In the two years prior to this position, Jennifer served as Keshet’s Chief Program Officer. Jennifer’s role in program development and community partnership building has been an unparalleled success for the organization. When she was Director of Keshet Recreation, Jennifer grew enrollment in summer camp by 340% in just two years. More recently, she has been instrumental in strengthening Keshet’s relationship with Jewish United Fund, Jack Miller Family Foundation and other prominent Jewish funders, which has resulted in $216,000 in COVID-19 emergency relief funds and other technical response support.
We are thrilled that someone with so much history with Keshet, and such depth of experience working in the disability field, will lead Keshet into the next chapter. Jennifer is a strong, hands-on and team-focused leader with a deep passion for inclusion and the well-being of our community.
When the Board informed her of this decision, Jennifer expressed so much gratitude for the opportunity. She also shared her excitement to bring the organization to the next level while keeping true to our mission with a focus on families.
Jennifer’s decisive leadership during the pandemic and success with the Forward 2020 campaign sets the stage for what the Board anticipates will be unprecedented growth and development for Keshet and its participants.
Please join us in congratulating Jen on this well-deserved promotion.
Best regards,
J. Christopher Rabin
Chair, Keshet Board of Directors
